Ride Share
I believe that if everyone were to change at least one thing about their day to help the environment... we would increase our awareness of global warming due to carbon emissions. One example being ride share. Below are some suggestions for ride share. 6 sites all suited for different needs.
KEEP OUR EARTH GREEN Y'ALL!! :) PEACE
Tips from "The Lazy Environmentalist"
One of the best ways we can reduce our environmental impact and save money is to share rides with other people going our way. Obviously, one car heading in a direction instead of two, three or four takes cars off the road and reduces our overall greenhouse gas emissions. Several companies have discovered how to make sharing a ride easy, fun, and even rewarding. In fact, these days whether you're looking for a ride to work, soccer practice, or a rock concert, cutting-edge ride sites ensure that there's a very good chance somebody else is going your way.
Here are my top 6 recommendations for free ride sharing services that save you money.
Zimride.com - Zimride is a ride-share service that takes advantage of Facebook, enabling members to create personal profiles and select ride mates who share similar music tastes, favorite sports teams, or who just seem "normal." Zimmers can also evaluate things like driving speed, music volume, and smoking preferences before agreeing to hop in. Find rides at Zimride.com or by using Zimride's Facebook application.
GoLoco.org - Share rides to work, concerts, sporting events, or even the farmers' market using GoLoco. The company's website utilizes Facebook's social networking platform, enabling users to create personal profiles and choose compatible riding companions. The website also handles all financial transactions to remove the awkwardness of requesting gas and toll money from fellow travelers.
Nuride.com - Nuride is an online ride sharing service with more than 28,000 members who receive reward points for sharing rides. The service operates just like an airline membership rewards program. The more rides you share, the more points you earn and the more value you can redeem. Partners include Applebee's, Austin Grill, Dunkin' Donuts, and Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus.
PickuPpal.com - Combine your ride sharing trips with package delivery to earn a little extra cash on the way. PickUpPal connects drivers, passengers, and packages heading in the same direction to consolidate trips and thus lower carbon greenhouse gas emissions. Available in locations throughout the world, PickupPal is also the ride sharing partner of the London Symphony Orchestra.
RideAmigos.com - Connect with people going your way to share a taxicab or a car anywhere on Earth. Ride Amigos helps you lower your costs while conveniently getting you to your destination. Companies can use the service to help fellow employees coordinate trips together.
Shareling.com - Connect with fellow travelers looking to share a road trip using Shareling's interactive maps that show available rides around the globe. It's the budget- and planet-friendly way to travel across Europe or to catch all the fresh snow powder runs between Banff in the Canadian Rockies and Taos in New Mexico.
Hope that helps you get started with ride sharing.

cra_zn_dr_E_men
If I was warm or cool yet a little in between,
Ah... square but round and without a seem?
Holding true to form, without extreme!
to be continued....
To add to this cra_zn_dr_E_men note... 'cause I said to be continued.
When I wrote this I pondered the insurmountable dimensions of life, the never ending plethora of information available to us all, a "fractal" in life… if you may. The feeling of not being or saying that "I AM" anything from one extreme or the other. To feel as if I could ever be connected to things I know nothing about. I will forever strive to understand anything and everything on this earth, to the best of my ability and build upon it. Our own perceived reality, others perceived reality. The value of each individual and their meaning on this earth as it relates to it biological impacts, and social passages, artistic expressions, our freedoms to speak, etc.
I do not claim to be ABLE to understand or know everything, but a conscious effort to try, with an effort to gain knowledge of situations I encounter that which I do not understand. I do not claim to do this now, I know this, because I often find myself judging the actions of others because they do not closely relate to my own values and actions. I do however hope to try.
So from here on… I invite/welcome YOU ALL to stop me, point out those instances when I unknowingly judge you or a situation... please help me to be the person I desperately want to be. I promise to be open and ask questions to increase my chances of reaching this goal I set for myself.
I thank you in advance for assisting me in my "Journey".
PEACE and LOVE

CS 111 - Midterm Grade
I got a B!!!! 40/50 correct. That's damn good! The questions I got wrong were the "tricks". Ok, a couple of them I should have known. ;)
CS 111 - Midterm Grade
I haven't seen my midterm final grade yet. Prof is slacking... he thinks he's one of the students... enjoying Spring Break too much. But it's back to school this week and will find out whether or not he's back to work or "burnt" out. Annette and I saw him yesterday at Cajun Kitchen with his family and he looked just fine... so I am expecting to have that grade posted! :) As soon as I get the results I will let you know. Bad or good. Cheers!

Slang and Computers
Thought #1 - English Slang
It's amazing how many words in the English language are "slanged", no wonder it has been determined to be one of the hardest languages to learn. Listening in on a conversation at work today, I heard someone say "Do you think that they would totally" roll up on you"?" Had to ask what that really meant. Me being the whitest of white, but still somewhat "in the loop", couldn't really figure it out, turns out that it is a way to say that someone would either catch you doing something that you shouldn't be or approaching you with ill intention. Began thinking about how many other ways we've defined this word "roll". "Rollin' with the homies" ; "He's rollin' for sure" ; "That is so funny, I'm rollin' over here".... and i'm sure there is more.
I could ramble forever about how many things could be easily interpreted incorrect especially when typing or reading something online. There should be an easier way to communicate online with friends through SNS when you lose voice inflection and body language, ultimatley decreasing the ease of understanding.
It doesn't seem to me that everyone uses the same "jargan" or and standard. It should be a class in high school.

Sad But True
You know it's bad when you borrow the fuse in your car that runs your airbag to get your cigarette lighter working so you can charge your phone. :-)

CS 111
Even though I barely passed the CS 111 Fall 2008, and am not happy with my performance, I'm retaking the class with every intention to excel. Which means doing everything possible to get an A++!
Now that I know what is expected, sure does make it easier to succeed.
Here I introduce my new BLOG. If you are interested in how my class goes and my progress, please come check up at least once a week (just enough for the extra credit).
